Lenata'i wins Vaimauga 2 seat

Lenata'i Victor Tamapua of the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) has secured victory in the Vaimauga 2 constituency with 1,341 votes.

Across the polling booths, Lenata'i led strongly in booths 2.1, 2.2, and 2.9, where he collected 267, 182, and 101 votes, respectively. His lowest tally came from one booth where he received 95 votes.

His closest challenger, Tamaleta Taimang Jensen of the Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) Party, finished with 886 votes. Tamaleta's strongest support came from booths 2.3 and 2.5, where he polled 169 and 142 votes. His lowest return was 39 votes.

Independent candidate Niuafolau Patu Tanielu received 87 votes, with his best result in booth 2.3 at 24 votes, and his lowest a single vote.

In total, 2,328 votes were tallied in Vaimauga 2, including valid, informal, special, and apparent dual votes.
