ADVISORS
Government appointments need to be made public, including those appointed as special advisors. If the taxpayers are paying their salaries, they have every reason to know who is advising the government leaders.
CENSOR
Who was the communications specialist who turned the media police on Wednesday, attempting ban media from covering a rescue operation? Is media censorship being recommended to all government departments?
NURSES
Some patients believe that there should be more than one nurse assigned to a ward. Have some heart, the poor nurses are already doing more than they should. At least nurses are around, and their services remain better than in some other countries.
SAFETY NEGLECT
A probe is needed, and action is warranted in the case where a government department officials were not wearing life-preserving devices. Neglect of safety should not be left unpunished.
NATURE
People should realise that Mother Nature’s strength is unparalleled. That swift-flowing water has the power to turn turbines that produce electricity. So if it has been raining for a few days, best to stay out of rivers and waterways.
FEES
There were 186 students who did not receive their exam results because of unpaid fees. Schools should start considering incorporating exam fees into school fees. This way, all students get their results, but the ideal thing would be to have no exam fees.
