Between the Lines

UP LATE

Many people were up late on Sunday night awaiting to press the button that allows them to get the four per cent payout from the superannuation body. Some were late getting up on Monday morning.

FIGHTS

A fair share of fights broke out during the big concert over the weekend. There were no reports of injuries as police were quick to move in. In an interesting confrontation, a visiting Samoan had to shape and exchange blows with someone from the third gender.

SNAKE

Another snake was discovered in a rural area. Kudos to the person who found the Pacific Boa and did not kill it, but instead released it.

SCAVENGING

Luck was on the side of the children scavenging through the debris left behind after the big concert. The question is how children are accessing Apia Park when it should be closed and locked.

CHANGES

The system currently employed to distribute water to families needs to change to a proper water treatment plant. Water from the taps should be safe enough to drink.

TOO HOT

It must have been very hot inside the VIP tents at the UB40 concert. Many are complaining about paying a high price and not getting ice with their drinks. It must have melted.
