Between the Lines

ARMED

Primary school students in Vailele were surprised on Monday by armed police officers who entered the school compound. They were looking for suspects at large. The principal stood his ground and ordered the police and their guns out of the school.

CEILING

It was a lucky escape for a lady attending court on Monday. Had she not taken a step back, a piece of the ceiling which fell in front of her could have fallen on her. The courthouse is literally falling apart. When are the repairs starting?

OVERCROWDING

Some of the drug suspects arrested in the drug raids were granted bail, but some are still being held in custody. It has not been clarified if the overcrowding situation has improved.

OUT OF MONEY

The automated teller machines, commonly known as ATMs, were running out of cash on Monday in some spots. Some cashiers also reported being busier and more people shopping. It looks like a good payout.

DRUNKS

A few drunks decided to aid people in unloading shopping from the trolleys into cars. In return, demanding $2 for their next bottle. Such behaviour borders on extortion.

MYSTERY

Mystery surrounds claims by a family that three children who were left at home were nowhere to be found when the adults returned home. Hopefully, the matter is under police investigation and not under the social media lens.
