PARTY VENUE

Some groups of the essential services are bow looking to have their end of the year party, and venues are not available. Some have suggested booking the conference room at the big meeting house.

MISSING

A few missing persons reports had to be cancelled hours after they were filed. Spouses who claimed their other half was missing realised most of them had not come home after their New Year’s bash.

LACKING

Lack of enforcement is the reason why 13 and 12-year-olds can buy cigarettes and alcohol. A number of children were witnessed doing that. For shopkeepers, profit should not mean exploiting the young.

NARROW

Many back roads are winding and narrow. Even then, there are some drivers refusing to drive slowly and feel like mission accomplished when driving the other party off the road.

CASHLESS

Many smaller retailers may not be realising it, but investing in cashless payment systems can be the difference between large sales and opportunity lost. One retailer lost out on almost a $1000 sale because he accepted cash only.

FISH

Visiting Samoans were shocked after buying fish. Some said buying imported fish is cheaper than buying locally caught fish in Samoa.
