Between the Lines

ILLEGAL

An investigation is needed into rental companies. It seems vehicles not registered as rental cars are being hired out. It maybe a business, but not a legal one.

SERVICE

An expatriate on a business trip was not surprised when told by a taxi he had hired that he could hook the guest up with whatever his poison was, whether white or green. Such remarkable service.

A CHECK

A check might be needed on some foreign-owned businesses, which are clearly being run by them, but the displayed business license has a local name on it. Unless the owners are just foreign-looking locals.

AVAILABLE

Now that a family function has been held at the big meeting house, some couples are wondering if it is also available for marriages and receptions.

SHOPLIFTING

More footage of people attempting to or shoplifting is floating around. In some circles, such acts are being promoted as normal because if you do not have it, it is right to just take it from others.

SEAWALL

Just a reminder again. Please do not gather at the seawall in Apia on Wednesday night with your families, hoping for fireworks. Organise something at home.
