Who was the elected official who believed that an ambulance ride magically upgrades someone’s condition to life-or-death, and then marched into the hospital over the weekend expecting red-carpet treatment? The family member wasn’t critical, but somehow the minister thought everyone already waiting had to magically evaporate. He unloaded his attitude on a nurse because she didn’t recognise him and rolled out a special lane for him.

FLU-LIKE

Offices are receiving reports of flu-like illness, which apparently has been contagious. Reports have also come of multiple family members, including children, being affected.  One thing the lockdowns have taught us is isolation and sanitation procedures. Time to follow them again.

CRISIS

There is a crisis, and some husbands have been bearing the brunt of it. There is an apparent shortage of canned coconut cream. You know what that means. It is time to get back to scraping coconuts. No more easy way out.

THIEFS

Leaving your home unattended for a few days, you might want to rethink. Empty homes are being marked and targeted by thieves. Some areas are worse than others.

CONSULTANT

Medical staff met with the leader of the nation to talk about resources and shortages. What more will be included in the list? Everything lacking is known. Could another policy paper be on the way, and a consultant hired to find out ways to better manage the health system?
