GARLANDS

The ‘ulalole’ is a great gesture, but at times, so many are piled upon the graduate that it obscures vision. A poor student fell carrying his trophies as he misjudged his steps. Nothing was broken, and the student was not injured.

MONEY USE

Families are doing their best to show gratitude and pride towards toppers, with some even using money to make garlands and headpieces. Sadly, it is illegal to use money in such a manner.

EXTRA COST

Drive carefully and avoid speeding as the roads are busy. There have been a couple of mishaps. Luckily, no injuries have been reported. No one needs the extra financial burden of car repairs during Christmas.

INSENSITIVE

A major mishap during a pageant this weekend led to a contestant being awarded a prize only to have it ripped publicly, saying it was an error.

PARTIES

Office parties are happening this month. A few government departments and state-owned enterprises held their last week and over the weekend. There were people out looking for spouses who had not been home for 24 hours.

AWARE

Parents need to be aware of the conversations their young teenagers are having on social media. The boys in blue have had to deal with missing persons reports, where teens leave home to meet other teens far from home.
