There needs to be a calculation done on the monetary value of all the election promises that are being made. Where is the money coming from to deliver the promises, if they will be delivered?

PROMISES

Political parties need to give their promises in writing and also have a clause to say that they will step down if they fail to deliver. How many parties would agree to something like this?

CAMPAIGN

Having meetings with constituencies and offering election promises has been identified as campaigning, which, according to the elections office, should start from 14 July. Politicians are breaking the law even before getting elected.

ONE UP

Quite a few foreign-owned businesses have spruced up. Since retailing is set aside as a local-only business under the law, the foreign investors have gone one up by opening wholesale stores.

CASE CLOSED

The file on a man who died in custody has been closed. It has been claimed that the man died as a result of dehydration due to excess use of meth and not injuries sustained arrest.

DOGS

Dog owners who live close to busy roads need to ensure that their pets are away from the road. Some drivers go out of their way to hit them. The sad thing is that no one comes to clean up the dogs lying dead on roadsides.
