Between the Lines
BUCK PASSED
The buck was passed onto the incumbent, replacing the health boss as he now makes way to get an election seat. The public health system needs a review to see if progress has been made under the outgoing boss.
ILLEGAL
Candidates and their representatives have been bringing voters to register. This is illegal and a method of vote buying. Action should be taken now to hold people accountable and avoid wasting the court’s time with the challenges.
CHOICE
An election hopeful has opted not to speak to the media. This reaction had the scribe thinking of the contradictory behaviour of the hopeful, with many not minding the publicity. It is a choice.
WOMEN
It looks like this coming election could feature a record number of women wanting to get into parliament. Maybe, this time, the special quota clause may not need to be applied. All will be known when the results are made official.
TROUBLESOME
It was a troublesome scene as a boy aged around 10 years ran and jumped onto a moving truck. The driver did not stop the vehicle either. Even if this is not the first time he has done this, it is a situation that could lead to an accident.
URGENCY
What is the urgency that is still leading people to cross from behind or in front of buses after they disembark? Let the bus go, that way those who have gotten off have a clear view of the traffic and the drivers of them.
