Criminal who crashed into P.M's vehicle caught

A convicted murderer, who was wanted for crashing into Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi’s vehicle in 2019, has finally been caught.

Michael Toleafoa Savusa, who is also known as Michael Tole’afoa Fa’afouina, was arrested at Fasito’o-uta on Saturday.

This was confirmed by the Police.  

“Police have arrested Michael Toleafoa Savusa also known as Michael Toleafoa Faafouina (m) 30 years of Aufaga Aleipata and Faleatiu from Fasitoo-uta today,” a Police statement said.

“Savusa has been evading police since his vehicle collided with the PM's vehicle last year in April 2019.”

Savusa was out on parole when the crash happened at Aleipata. He escaped before the Police arrived and has been on the run ever since until today.

“He has been charged for dangerous driving and has been remanded in custody until 21 April 2020 for mention.

“Additional criminal charges will be filed.”
