Asomaliu, Moa wanted by Police

The Police have asked members of the public to help them locate two wanted men, Sosene Asomaliu and Iolamo Moa, who are considered armed and dangerous.

The announcement was made following a Police raid on Tuesday.

“The following individuals are wanted by police after a gun was pointed and discharge towards police officers yesterday, Monday 30 March 2020 at Fasitoo-tai,” a Police statement said.


Police also warned that the individuals are armed and considered to be dangerous.

Members of the public are advised not to approach the wanted individuals.

“The public is advised to contact the Samoa Police Service or any police station near you for any sightings of these individuals.”


Police also urged the two individuals to turn themselves in before any innocent member of the public is hurt by their actions.

S.P.S. also thanked the public during times as we face the Corona virus crisis.

About 40 police officers were involved in a raid on Tuesday morning which led to the confiscation of five guns.

It also led to the arrest of Siueva Sai Lupe, of Tapatapao for allegedly harbouring notorious criminal and escapee, Pati Chong Nee.

Police Commissioner, Fuiavailiili Egon Keil, told the media the raid was targeting Chong Nee and another man accused of firing a handgun towards a Police officer. 

Sosene, who is also known as Sene Asomaliu, of Fasito’o-tai and Malie, allegedly fired a handgun in front of a Police officer on Monday threatening him, said the Commissioner.

Asomaliu is also wanted for alleged robbery, theft and assault together with another suspect Iokamo Moa Sanele of Faleatiu and Fasito’o. 

The Commissioner assured the operation was done in accordance with the law with a search warrant and approval to be armed.

He added that no Police officer was at harmed during the operation
