A young woman from Saaga, Siumu, is among the contestants vying for the Miss Samoa 2025 crown, representing her village and promoting sustainable tourism.

Blessing Jane Lagaali Shuster, 24, is sponsored by ILYS Clothing Boutique. She said her family encouraged her to take part in the national pageant to showcase her abilities and represent her community. “My family encouraged me to join this pageant to show my abilities and represent our people with pride,” she said. “I believe it is my time now, it’s God’s plan for me to be here.”

Blessing said her late father continues to be a source of strength and inspiration in her journey. “When I stood on stage, it reminded me of my late father, the man who always gave me courage and confidence to be myself,” she said. “He’s no longer here, but I feel his presence with me. He was the one who taught me to believe in myself, and I know he would be proud to see me standing here today.”

She said the competition has been an opportunity to build friendships and grow in confidence. “I’m beyond grateful for everyone who continues to believe in me. Their support gives me the strength to keep going,” she said.

As she prepares for the Miss Samoa 2025 pageant, Blessing said she hopes to inspire young Samoan women to have confidence, trust in God’s plan, and embrace who they are. She said she is thankful for the opportunity to take part in the event, adding that true beauty begins with courage and a grateful heart.
