After two ballot boxes were counted for Gagaemauga No.2 on Tuesday, it has been revealed that Faʻatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) Seuamuli Fasi Toma has retained the seat.

Gagaemauga 2 was one of the four polling booths in Savai'i that had ballot boxes that could not be counted on the day of the preliminary count because the tally sheets were placed in the ballot boxes, and it could not be opened because it would be considered tampering.

The two polling booths, booths one and two for Gagaemauga, were only counted during the final count, with the results: 

Booth 38:1- Galuvao Mataia Valma Galuvao (HRPP) - 22

                     Seuamuli Fasi Toma (FAST) - 90

                     Valu Mataia Nafoitoa Keti- 13

Booth 38:2  - Galuvao Mataia Valma Galuvao- 25

                       Seuamuli Fasi Toma 59

                       Valu Nafoitoa Talaimanu Keti - 27

The results have shown that the former MP for Gagaemauga 2, Seuamuli, retained this seat. Total of valid votes for Gagaemauga is 1120 with no pre-polling votes and 123 special votes. 

Gagaemauga 2 also had special votes set aside of six.
