With two more weeks left for the Samoa Men's Deaf 7s team's participation in the Pacific Rim Deaf Rugby 7s in Australia this month, telecommunication provider Digicel has stepped in to help.

President of the Samoa Deaf Association, Eli Enesi Sio, expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Digicel for jumping on board to assist them in their preparations.

As we enter our final weeks of preparation before departing on 25 June, this sponsorship provides a boost to the team's morale and readiness. It's more than just support, it's a strong message of inclusion and belief in our athletes," he said.

The Chief Executive Officer for Digicel Samoa, Karl Vizvary said the partnership was a reflection of Digicel's ongoing commitment to promoting community health, well-being, and inclusion through sport, particularly among vulnerable and underrepresented groups.

dThe team had their first ever feel of a 7s competition at the Moataa Rugby Club 100 years tournament early this month. It was an opportunity for them to get game-time experience and a national platform to showcase the skills and determination of the eaf athletes in front of local supporters.
