Vaaelua edges Magele for Fa’asaleleaga No. 2 seat

The final count for the Fa’asaleleaga No. 2 constituency has confirmed Vaaelua Sentenari Samau of the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) as the winner with 678 votes.
Vaaelua edged out Magele Sekati Fiaui of FAST, who secured 610 votes, while fellow HRPP candidate Magele Tusigaigaoga Simaika collected 196 votes. Independent candidates Talouli Iosefa Talouli and Malu Saletolo Sulusi Vaaelua received 219 and 66 votes, respectively.
The final tally brought the total valid votes cast in the constituency to 1,869, confirming Vaaelua’s return to Parliament.
