FERRY INCIDENT

Who was the cabinet minister spotted during a ferry ride putting his leg on a dining table? The table is used to put food. Parliamentary privilege does not extend to dining tables on ferries.

REF ATTACKS

There were more attacks on rugby referees over the weekend. Two incidents were noted, including one that was broadcast as a video on social media. Either more police presence is needed, or referees need to be armed.

SCAM

The Central Bank of Samoa warned the public about workshops and promotions being advertised on social media under the name “BG WEALTH”. These activities have raised serious concerns, and based on the information available, CBS believes that BG Wealth shows strong signs of being a scam, commonly known as a Ponzi or pyramid scheme.

POWER POLES

Can power poles be painted? A person was seen painting a power pole outside a business establishment. Isn’t there a law about doing this?

WORLD RECORD

A prediction was made during the opening ceremony of the weightlifting competition that a world record would be set by a Samoan athlete. The entry is free; take the opportunity to support the athletes.
