The leader’s health must be of concern. There have been no video updates from him on this trip yet. That is very unlike him. Hope this trip is a successful one for him.

TWO DAYS

No extra public holidays for Independence Day. The government has spread the celebration from the Friday before the actual day. This means that government offices will only be closed for two days.

MOVING AWAY

A major income earner for the hospitality industry has decided to end its love affair with Samoa and is moving to Asia. A deep dive is needed to see what went wrong. The last time, the usual place of its stay shut its doors.

TESTED

Those alien spaceship-like structures are still there. Some are questioning if they are working. Some earthquakes have been experienced in the last few months. Warning systems all over the country may need to be tested.

WANNABE HUSBAND

A peace officer has dug his own grave after posting pictures of a woman he does not know and telling people that it was his wife. The so-called ‘wife’ has lodged a complaint against the wannabe ‘husband’. Wearing a uniform does not mean people are above the law.

MONGOOSE

Do people still recall the sighting of a mongoose a few years ago? There has been no explanation of how the mammal came to Samoa. Very strange indeed.
