A cabinet minister has been seen spending more time at his private business than in his ministry or any of the villages in his constituency. Now that’s one way to use a car, fuel and salary paid by tax dollars.

Why is it that election candidates will not talk about issues and policies when given the platform to do so? A few things only happen in Samoa.

CHASED

A car chase between a husband and wife ended in a vehicle crash. One of them chased another after finding them with a stranger in the car. No injuries were reported either from the accident or the altercation that followed.

PRICES UP

A few people have noticed changes in the prices of food being sold in eateries. Some places have increased prices by a tala or two, some even by five. It has all been blamed on Donald Trump. The owners say all complaints should be directed at the White House.

HIGH SHARKS

A 2026 study in the Bahamas found that 28 out of 85 sharks tested (roughly one-third) in the nearshore habitats of Eleuthera Island tested positive for human-related drugs, including cocaine, caffeine, and painkillers.
