CONFUSION

There must be some confusion regarding the electoral law. It states that only the Head of State can postpone a by-election. As Marcellus says in Hamlet, “There is something rotten in the state of Denmark.

ACTING

After the departure of the top legal eagle from the government, it was surprising that no one has been named in an acting capacity.

VISAS

For now, Fiji is the only Pacific country in the list of countries for which the United States has stopped processing immigration visas. More are likely to join the list.

SILENCE

There is silence from the boys in blue over an assault that took place two months ago outside the house of the nation’s boss man. There seems to be no interference here; someone gave his word when he took office.

FIGHT CLUB

Let’s fight. Astonishingly, these were words spoken between two women at a supermarket car park over differences. The two wanted to settle it out like men, one-on-one. Violence is never the answer.

MOTORBIKES

The number of motorcycles on the roads is slowly increasing. Other road users must acknowledge the bikes, and the riders need to wear helmets.
