The word on the grapevine is that there would be some changes at the helm of some government bodies. Could these be merit-based decisions?

FERRY

Three more weeks until the year ends, and we are still waiting on the new ferry to arrive. The new ramp to accommodate the ferry is still not anywhere in sight, either.

FAMILY

Newfound family members have been bumping into the visiting diaspora. A walk through the township results in greetings from uncles, cousins and nephews, who never existed before.

CURE

A mixture of mango, guava and soursop leaves is curing cancer, according to a notice by a local ‘specialist’. The cure for cancer deserves a Nobel Prize. This person is soon to be the richest in the world.

DENIAL

A political figure has denied misusing public funds for elections even after a court decision found the incumbent otherwise and called for a change in electoral laws.

DISEASED

Not putting litter into bins could be a disease. A medical intervention may be needed. Curing this disease will have an added advantage: a cleaner Samoa.
