It is that time of the year when lights are being put up to celebrate the festive season. Some are putting on more lights than others. You know what this means; hopefully, the supply from the generators will be able to meet the increased demand.

STARTING SALARY

After the increment in the police budget to beef up salaries, it was said that starting salaries for constables would be around $21,000. On the contrary, an advertisement posted on the police website said the starting salary is around $18,000.

AIDS

World AIDS Day was marked on Monday. Except for one concert, there was not much awareness and campaigns. Hearing no evil does not mean that it does not exist. Testing for HIV needs to be done regularly.

JUSTICE

It is hard to understand why some people choose to vent crime and injustice on social media instead of reporting it to the authorities. More likes and comments do not get people justice.

Some people have been frustrated trying to get in touch with the power company. If you did not know, they have changed their numbers. It has something to do with changing their telecommunication provider.

SHOPLIFTERS

Shoplifters are at it again. Multiple shops are being targeted, and people are moving in crowds. There may be a need to hire more security officers for shops.
