PHONE LINES

The telephone lines at the Olympic House need to be checked. The lines get automatically disconnected whenever the intended receiver of the call is told the call is from the newspaper. It must be running on artificial intelligence.

RAIN

The heavy rain caused havoc in the South of Upolu with reports of rising waters. The high level of rain is not allowing water to be absorbed by the soil as well. We trust the emergency responders and the affected villages have a plan.

WATER

Boil water from the taps. It is known that in some areas, the smaller catchments supply water to homes. There are already reports of murky water in some of the pipelines.

CONTRASTING

In 2023, when the Cook Islands' PM returned from a busy overseas schedule, he was given a full welcome at the airport. When the Australian PM returned home, the headlines read, Albanese back from the USA, and had a picture of him disembarking. These practices are very different from the way things are done at home.
