Between the Lines
PHONE LINES
The telephone lines at the Olympic House need to be checked. The lines get automatically disconnected whenever the intended receiver of the call is told the call is from the newspaper. It must be running on artificial intelligence.
RAIN
The heavy rain caused havoc in the South of Upolu with reports of rising waters. The high level of rain is not allowing water to be absorbed by the soil as well. We trust the emergency responders and the affected villages have a plan.
WATER
Boil water from the taps. It is known that in some areas, the smaller catchments supply water to homes. There are already reports of murky water in some of the pipelines.
CONTRASTING
In 2023, when the Cook Islands' PM returned from a busy overseas schedule, he was given a full welcome at the airport. DEAF EARS

PARADE
Why is no one talking about having a parade for the Manu Samoa as they head into a must-win clash against Belgium on Wednesday? It is the national team and a win could mean a spot in the World Cup.
