Between the Lines

PAY UP

Did an overseas lawyer representing a top politician threaten to leave over the weekend because of the delay in payment and the case dragging on longer than usual? Could this explain the 'no case to answer' application? The bigger question is, if there is money to pay the expensive lawyers.

CAMPAIGN

Political parties need to up their campaign game. One party in particular is leading in that part of marketing its policies. Most have said to wait until the end of the week. The end of the week is here.

CONTROL

Those campaigning know very well how to take advantage of any and all opportunities to put their faces out in the public. That is why the media control strategy by one party is hard to fathom. Maybe, it will take them time to understand, something nobody has the luxury of.

CHURCHES

Let us pray that the pulpits in the local churches do not become a platform for some to do their electioneering. Churches need to speak out about separating religion and politics. It would be dangerous if the two were mixed.

LOGISTICS

The election could present the boys in blue a challenge. Hopefully, the numbers are enough to provide security during the electoral process, mainly voting and counting and at the same time carry out normal duties.

QUOTA

Congratulations to all those who received good news from New Zealand about their success in the quota. For those who did not make it, better luck next time. The nation is about to lose some its workforce.
