Between the Lines

FAST END

Well, that was a fast end for the red party’s term in government. As the saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall and fall they did.

INDEPENDENCE

The early end to the government is leading to some schools pulling out of the Independence Day march scheduled for Monday. Many believe the early morning dedication and the Sunday church service may not happen.

WHAT TIME

An eager member of a news crew got so excited by the happenings at the House that he could not wait for more and asked gleefully, “What time will parliament start tomorrow?” No time to be blond.

UNLUCKY

Bad luck for the elected leaders who were counting on the remainder of the district grant to use as campaign money. $2 million would have been paid out to each district.

SHIVERING

Board members and those appointed to top bureaucratic posts along political lines must be shivering. That is why such appointments have to be made on merit and should not be ‘jobs for the boys.’

POLITICS
