Afternoon checkpoints were a pleasant sight despite the heavy traffic. Police were also smart in setting up a secondary stop, in case some drivers decided to take a turn to avoid the checks.

WANTED

It is concerning that the police are looking for an 18-year-old in connection with a robbery. If education keeps getting ignored, the criminals will keep getting younger.

CENSOR

A health ministry staff appointed herself a media censor during an event on Thursday. It was amusing as the newspaper crew were made to stand outside while other media were already inside.

WEIGHT

The filming of a local TV show about losing weight started at a local gym. A gym user exclaimed, “The weight loss is just until the show lasts, then it's back to square one.”

CHAOTIC

Expect traffic near Malua if you are travelling that way. The 150th anniversary celebrations start on Friday and this means chaos.

DRY NOODLES

An unhealthy habit parents must put a stop to is children eating raw noodles. This practice is happening across homes, schools and even offices. Health is wealth.
