A woman already facing more than 200 charges relating to theft as a servant has reappeared in the Supreme Court to answer to additional charges.

Matagofie Brown initially faced 264 charges of theft as a servant and falsifying and altering documents.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges and a hearing is pending on the matter.

But the prosecution had advised the Court that there are six additional charges against Ms. Brown.

The additional charges are for false accounting and theft as a servant. In total, Ms. Brown is now facing 270 charges.

Lawyer Arthur Lesa who is representing the defendant had asked for adjournment to seek his clients instructions on the charges.

Ms. Brown remains on bail until her next appearance in Court next week to enter her plea.

A hearing date will also be set by then.

Police alleged that a total of $117,000 is involved in the offending from which the initial 264 charges came from.

The defendant had applied for legal aid but was denied by the Court.

Earlier this year, she was told if she wishes to be represented by a lawyer she would have to pay for her own.
