An aircraft from New Zealand, which is used for medical evacuation, is airborne and en route to Faleolo International Airport.

The aircraft, a Beechcraft Beechjet (twin-jet) registered ZK-NXJ and operated by Skyline Aviation Ltd., departed Auckland on Wednesday at 12:11pm Samoa time and is scheduled to arrive at 4:26pm. It is flying at an altitude of 12,510 meters with a ground speed of about 870 kph.

This is the same aircraft used in September 2025 to medevac the prime minister to New Zealand.

Earlier Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa announced during a Facebook Live broadcast that he would travel to New Zealand in the afternoon for “overdue medical checks.”

Skyline Aviation of New Zealand is a provider of air ambulance and aeromedical services across the South Pacific.
