The Marist Fathers will once again take over the management of Chanel College, according to the Chanel Old Students Association (COSA).

COSA also announced their upcoming COSA Fellowship Corporate Dinner on 18 December at St Therese Samoa Retreat.

COSA said in a statement that this significant event marks an important step towards restoring Chanel College to its former glory as one of Samoa’s most distinguished educational institutions.

Archbishop Mosese Tui, Interim Chairman of COSA, stated that the event on the 18th “is not only a celebration, but also a reunion for all who were educated at Chanel. It is a call for unity as we work to rebuild and develop the school we all cherish.”

The announcement has sparked renewed excitement among the Chanel College community, with many welcoming the return of the Marist Fathers as a long-awaited turning point.

Their leadership has historically guided the college through some of its strongest years, shaping generations of students academically, spiritually, and morally.

As the school prepares for this transition in 2026, COSA is mobilising its alumni and supporters to come together and take part in rebuilding efforts. Over the years, Chanel College has produced leaders in government, business, education, and many other fields, and COSA believes this collective legacy is a powerful force in restoring the school’s standing.

The COSA Fellowship Corporate Dinner serves as the first major step in rallying this support. The event aims to reconnect former students, strengthen networks, and inspire a shared commitment to the school’s future. Guests can expect an evening of reflection, celebration, and strategic conversations on how to uplift the college in the years ahead.

Archbishop Mosese continues to emphasise unity and goodwill, saying the December gathering represents more than just a dinner; it is a moment for the Chanel family to stand together. With music, fellowship, and the spirit of service, the event is expected to set the tone for a renewed journey of growth and restoration for Chanel College.
