The Electoral Court was told that $30,000 was given to Tuiloma Laniselota Lameko by Falealili No.1 Member of Parliament, Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo, as a "gentleman’s agreement" to withdraw the election petition.

The transaction was confirmed when an audio recording by Namulauulu Sami Leota was played in court, confirming the petitioner saying he was given $30,000 by Toelupe.

Three affidavits from the intervener were read in court, and that includes HRPP secretary Lealailepule Rimoni Afiafi, Namulauulu Sami Leota and HRPP Deputy Leader Lauofo Fonotoe Lauofo.

The hearing is continuing in the Electoral Court for the application by the petitioner to withdraw. HRPP filed an intervener against the withdrawal.
