Faasalelega No.3 petitions withdrawn

The petition and counter petition between Namulauulu Leota Sami Leota and former Speaker Papalii Lio Masipau for the Faasalelega No.3 seat were withdrawn on Monday morning.
Counsel for both the petitioners informed the Electoral Court that the challenges were being withdrawn to uphold peace and harmony in the district.
The court has adjourned the matter to 30 October for mention, allowing the counsel for Namulauulu and Papalii to issue public notices on the withdrawal.
