On Saturday, mothers, fathers, and children filled the town’s markets in a last-minute rush to prepare for White Sunday.

The streets were alive with traffic, laughter, and excitement as parents helped their children choose white clothes, puletasi, and accessories for the special day. At Malaefatu Park Reserve, vendors and families worked side by side to ensure everything was ready for tomorrow’s celebrations.

Leilani T. said, “We’re buying white clothes for our children and food for the family gathering.” She also wished, “I hope our children enjoy their performances and feel proud.”

Sione M. added, “Our kids have been practising songs and verses, and I bought new outfits for them.” He also wished, “A happy day for our family and the whole community.”

Mele F. noted, “The market is very busy, but it’s wonderful seeing the excitement and joy of the children.” She also wished, “Everyone enjoys the day and the children feel confident and happy.”

Vendors also reflected on the busy preparations. Tupu L. said, “We are selling lots of white clothes and children’s outfits. The market is very busy this week.” He also wished, “A blessed and joyful White Sunday for all families.”

Fetu S. added, “It’s busier than usual, with many families shopping for tomorrow.”
