Official count finishes Thursday
The official count which is still ongoing will be completed by Thursday as confirmed by Electoral Commissioner Tuiafelolo John Stanley.
He said the constituencies with bigger rolls were firstly done on Monday and Tuesday with a few continuing on Wednesday.
Tuiafelolo revealed that the official count is flowing with the constituencies with smaller rolls which will be counted on Wednesday night and Thursday.
"Official count will be completed Thursday night the latest," Tuiafelolo said.
So far, 37 constituencies have completed official counting with Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) leading with 21 candidates securing their seats, Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) is second with 13 candidates and independent candidates remains at three.
Officials confirmed that there are eight more constituencies left for the last session on Wednesday and that leaves out the last five constituencies which will be counted on Thursday.
The writ will be issued by the Head of State, Tuimalealiifano Va'aletoa Sualauvi II right after the official count.
Electoral Commissioner Tuiafelolo John Stanley confirmed that the constituencies with smaller rolls will be left to be counted on Thursday and official count will surely be completed on Thursday night.
