When good doctors go bad: A word of advice to my colleagues in Samoa
We have heard stories from around the globe about respected practitioners who, later in their careers, became known as “bad doctors.” These were often the same individuals—sought-after surgeons, obstetricians, cardiologists, paediatricians, and emergency physicians, to name but a few—who were once highly respected by their colleagues and communities. Yet, somewhere along the way, things went wrong, leading to the temporary suspension or permanent cancellation of their medical licenses.
