Vailele voters brave midday sun

The scorching midday sun did not make it easy for the voters in the long line at the Vailele EFKS polling station.

Inside the hall, people waited quietly and took turns to vote, while outside, a tarpaulin was set up as a shelter.

But the heat was still strong. Some people brought umbrellas. The atmosphere stayed calm as everyone waited. Police officers also helped the elderly by allowing them to go straight inside the hall without waiting in the sun.

Meanwhile, other polling booths in the Vaimauga 2 area, such as Fagali‘i, were also crowded. Each polling officer was supported by police officers, allowing for smooth operations.

Cooperation between voters and officers has been clear throughout the process.
