A couple of individuals who held high positions within the government found that their qualifications were not recognised abroad. The local university graduates got lucky in the quota but have ended up working in factories. Something for the qualification authority to consider.

POWER PRICE

At least two Pacific nations have publicly stated that they are considering power rationing in light of the fuel crisis. At home, no such announcements. The word on the grapevine is that it will be announced when the financial plan is submitted.

PRISON SPACE

The number of arrests for drugs has noticeably increased. This questions the room at the prison facility. Last time massive arrests were made, there were no spaces in the holding cells.

OFF AIR

A local television station was off-air for two days. It was back transmitting on Wednesday. No reasons have been given for the situation. It could have been a technical glitch, while some say it was non-payment of fees to the digital platform.

FOUR MONTHS

This could be a lesson for elected leaders. The mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, has filled 100,000 potholes, some personally, lowered rent, taxed the rich for more homes, provided free public transport and even housed the homeless during a winter storm. All in four months. What have our leaders done?
