Between the Lines

CHANGES

Indications are that the powers that be have set in motion the machinery to get rid of two top bureaucrats. The new favoured appointments would be relied upon to help with this task. These are the trusted appointments for a reason.

SPEEDING

More speeding government vehicles were spotted. A Ministry of Finance vehicle was found to be speeding up the Cross Island Road in thick mist. Must have been a financial emergency.

NOT EMERGENCY

Ambulances returning to base after an emergency run should not use flashing lights to indicate otherwise. There is a story about a boy who cried wolf. It did not end too well for the boy.

HOME GAMES

Another year has gone by, and the national stadium still cannot be used to host international games. The national teams are missing out on playing at home. Needless to say, a Toa Samoa game at home can be ruled for a few more years.

COMMENDED

Good customer service does not go unnoticed. A Samoa Airways staff member has been commended by a frequent flyer. It is always the people who make the difference.

CYCLONE

The rain and winds being felt all around the country is being caused by a tropical depression nearby. The good news is that there is a low risk for this to form into a cyclone.
