Between the Lines

VIOLENT HOME

Police are having a hard time convincing an eight-year-old missing child to return home. The child does not want to go home because of the violence inflicted by the father.

INVESTIGATE

Police need to do an investigation into the claims of the girl who does not want to return home. There are many other cases such as this. A 14-year-old also ran away on Thursday for the same reasons.

IN CARS

If toddlers are in the back seat, please ensure they are sticking half their body out of the window. A child was hanging like that for almost 30 minutes before the parent wound up the window.

DANGEROUS

A 10-wheeler truck overtaking on a narrow road is a perfect example of an accident waiting to happen. Smaller vehicles and pedestrians are put in danger.

STILL PM

A teenager asked, “Is Fiame still our prime minister?” This is a sign that the leader of the nation needs to engage more with the public, and it can only be done through the media.

UNLIKELY

It does not look like the current administration will focus on laws such as anti-corruption and the right to information. Everyone is focused on the next poll.
