Between the Lines

CAR DEALS

The word is that a car dealer is looking to supply the government with all official vehicles to be used during the CHOGM. The cars will be later used as government vehicles.

DEJA VU

Can anyone recall the international meeting in a Pacific country when that nation bought Maserati’s. The cars had to be sold at 30 per cent of their price. Sounds like a Deja Vu.

PROBE

It has been over a month since the government ministries started their investigation on the superannuation body. Hopefully, the results of the probe will be made public soon.

MISSING MONEY

A big question that is being asked now is will the missing money from a constituency will ever be found and whether people who took it will be held responsible. Give it to the police.

RECRUITMENT

It is good to see police trying to recruit auxiliary staff to work during CHOGM. While the idea may be to have the right number of people on the ground, some people are leaving their current employment for this.

FINES

The government should also hire litter officers. With the litter problem getting bad to worse, fines should deter people from throwing litter just anywhere and put them in bins.
