GRASS CUTTING

It must have been national grass-cutting day. According to a traveller on his way from Apia to the South Coast, almost every village was busy trimming the grass. The rain has sped up growth.

HOLES AND HOLES

Potholes are not just near the town but there have been reports of big ones causing problems for motorists. Hopefully, the road crew know where they are otherwise it will be next year until they are fixed.

BAD NAME

Some taxi drivers are giving everyone a bad name. One was in Vaitele when instead of stopping he drove at high speed through a shop’s car park almost hitting a child.

RED CAMP

Things do not seem well inside the red camp. There have been words of internal power struggle and talks of even changing leadership with force.

FORGIVENESS

Why is an MP charged for fabricating evidence asking for forgiveness if he denies any wrongdoings? That should have been done directly to the people, not on a government-sponsored TV show.

POWER PROBLEMS

There were furious residents in Fugalei and Savalalo as power was out from midday until late in the evening. Shop owners were happy to see an increase in the sale of candles.
