I am happy that the lockdown has been extended because other countries have been affected by the coronavirus so it is best for us to prepare. Having the lockdown extended is the best way to protect us from the coronavirus.

Meleane Aitu, 47, Lalovaea

I fully support the extension of the lockdown but I hope the Government does something to all the workers affected by the lockdown. How will people be able to pay for their electricity and water bills if they have no jobs? The Government made a right decision to lockdown the country because the lives of the people matter. I was really happy to hear that the lockdown has been extended because this is the best way to protect our country from coronavirus. I praise the efforts and decisions that the Government is making.

Uato’a Lasalo, 48, Lufilufi

I fully support the extension of the lockdown. The Government knows what they’re doing so if they extend it then we can’t do anything about it because this lockdown is for our safety. All we should do is follow what the Government asks us to do. If we can’t earn an income then we can always survive from the land as our ancestors did.

Jaden Britchard, 32, Vaigaga

My views on the lockdown extension is all positive. Prevention is better than treatment and the Government is trying its best to protect us from the coronavirus. Even though there is still no confirmed case in Samoa but we should still prepare.

Reopoamo Talalelei, 24, Faleasiu

The Government's move to extend the lockdown is a smart move because the coronavirus can impact Samoa if it reaches our shores. I support the Government's decision because they are trying their best to protect us from this disease.
