Fasitoo-Tai champs of the Aana Taxi Provincial rugby series 2021

The Aana Taxi Provincial Rugby Series 2021 has concluded in the weekend on a very high note, which was able to attract a lot of spectators at the Fasitoo-uta Primary school field, and the enjoyable atmosphere not only by the players but by the district.
"In the final of the Senior A Match seen Satapuala challenging the Shield against Fasitootai in the very bouncing game that watched by more than 300 spectators. In the full time, Fasitootai won by 31 to 6 for Satapuala, and also secure Fasitootai the overall Champion of Senior A which was undefeated for 6 consecutive Saturdays of the season," said Laufiso Tomasi Peni, the secretary for the Aana Rugby union.
"For the U20 Divisions, Vailuutai also remain undefeated for 3 Saturday when they were able to win against the strong Nofoalii team who was the holder of the U21 Shield. Likewise, Vailuutai U20 was named the overall Champion for U20 in 2021."
A moment of silence was also called by the Aana Chiefs President, the Caretaker Minister of Communication and Information Technology (M.C.I.T) to honor one of the former coaches for Aana Chiefs, Faasuaga Fanueli aka Buckz).
"He was the Aana Chiefs Coach for 3 years that enable the team to make it to the 3 Grand Finals. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to Buckz for nurturing a number of players that were named in the Manu Samoa Sevens team, and the Manu Samoa, name John Vaili, Melani Matavao, Gordon Langkilde, and many others.
In the conclusion of his speech, he acknowledges the kind support of our major sponsor – TAXI, and also the hard work Committee on the ground to ensure that 2021 will be a better year for the Aana Rugby Union.
He also encourages the players to keep on with the given talent and not to stop."
According to Laufiso, the Aana Chiefs rugby union will be competing in the upcoming rugby tournament hosted by Lakapi Samoa.
"Aana Chiefs will eyeing the SRU Super Lakapi and will go through the selection of their players and ensuring they secure Fund to make their journey for 2021 possible."
