Scotland downs Manu Samoa 41-12
Scotland hammered Manu Samoa 41-12 at Eden Park on Friday night in a one-sided affair.
The Scots ran in seven tries to Samoa’s two. Scotland led 22-0 at halftime. Scotland looked hungrier of the two teams and capitalised on possession and territory from kick-off.
It took them only five minutes to cross the try line, and there was no holding them back. Coming off the back of a loss to Fiji, the Scots had a point to prove.
Manu Samoa, on the other hand, did not look like a team. There were lapses in communication, and set pieces were not executed to the level one would expect professionals to do so.
Manu Samoa now takes a rest and goes back into action in August when the Pacific Nations Cup starts.
