Local company Gus Bone Audio Samoa on Saturday showcased for the first time their American made products at the Malaefatu Park in Sogi.

The showcasing of the products was opened to the public and also included an onsite sound pressure level competition that targeted owners of vehicles with sound systems.

Mr Feesago told the Samoa Observer on Saturday that the business initially opened as a hobby of theirs, until the birth of his daughter when they decided to go full time.

"We started it in 2018 but first it was a hobby then when our daughter was born two years later, I decided we had to do something so we got more serious with the selling of our products," he said.

Mr Feesago said the name of the business was a tribute to his own father, whose nickname was Gus Bone.

"We used my father's nickname Gus Bone, he was my best friend, so I decided to always remember him with this venture. He passed away in 2017 which is why I came back to help my mother and siblings," he said.

"My father's name was Augustine Fuiavailiili Feesago and so my daughter was named after him. Her name is Auggie (short for Augustine)."

According to the business owner, his company sells car audio products from America as well as accessories like sound pressure level meters, radio subwoofers, and marine audio for boats which can be used underwater, amplifiers and more.

"We have heard that many people have to bring these things over, so we created this business to make sure that our people get the good quality stuff on demand, and right here on our island," he said.

The company also ran a sound pressure level competition at Malaefatu Park on Saturday, to determine who made the loudest sound with their vehicles' audio system.

The sound pressure level competition was won by a Feu Keil, according to Mr Feesago, with the winner presented with a 10,000 watts AMP valued at $ 1,900 tala.

The competition was held inside the tent on Saturday and attracted a lot of onlookers with some of them child vendors.

Gus Bone Audio Samoa is currently located at Cece's House of Fashion in Fugalei which is owned by his mother Margean Feesago.

"You just go into the shop as it belongs to my mother. We have a small corner there but people can also call us on 7509407," he said.

The company Gus Bone Audio Samoa is owned by Christopher Feesago and Jacinta Tafa. Christopher Feesago is also the brother of George Feesago who owns Big and Small.
