The Uhrle family at Lotopa and Uhrle Auto Repairs and Towing Service staff are mourning the sudden loss of their boss and the "king" of their household Francis Edhill Uhrle.

The loving father of four and devoted husband of Agnes Uhrle passed away at the Moto'otua hospital on Wednesday morning. He was 48.

The heartbroken wife, Mrs. Uhrle told the Samoa Observer on Thursday that her late husband, whom she described as a "loving and caring" had a death wish of wanting to be featured in the Samoa Observer newspaper.

"So even though this is something we've never wanted as a family, as we are grieving his sudden passing, but we are doing it for him," Mrs. Uhrle said during an interview.

The late Mr. Uhrle – who until his passing was the Manager of Uhrle's Auto Repairs and Towing Service – is remembered by his wife as a brave man who had "the heart of a lion."

"He loved everyone and whoever came to him for help," she said. "Even at times when he knew that we only had $20 left in his wallet, he would willingly give it away to whoever needed help, even though we didn't have enough for food.

"That's how he was; always willing to give and help those who came to him for help.

"A lot of people got help from him and I am sure he made an impact on their lives."

Furthermore, Mrs. Uhrle said that this year marked 10 years since they took over the management of the company and she is devastated, as she heavily relied on him, not only with their household but also with the running of the business.

"We did everything together and I relied on him a lot, especially with work.

"It's a good thing that our eldest son has stepped up and helping us with the business, especially now that Francis has gone."

Mrs. Uhrle also spoke fondly of the good and bad memories she shared with her late husband – memories she said she will cherish forever.

"We were all shocked with his passing and we are still trying to come to terms with the fact that he is gone. But we will cherish what we had and the memories we share. Both the good and bad.

"Francis was a loving person and was kind-hearted. However, he also had a really bad temper and it's hard to get to him when gets mad.

"But he did not like going out clubbing and spending the night out with friends. He preferred staying at home and be at home with his friends and family."

The widow said before her husband died, he told her to prepare a nice photo of him and to make sure to have a simple story, to be published by the Samoa Observer.

"He also wanted a photo of me in the paper so the whole world knows that I am his wife," she added. "It's not something we'd agreed on, but those were among the things he asked us to do for him when he is gone."
