"Stop mocking our manifesto": La'aulialemalietoa
Faʻatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) chairman, Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt, demanded that former politicians who have left the party stop mocking their manifesto.
He said they should be focused on their manifesto and what they will bring to the table to make Samoa a better place.
Laauli addressed it during his weekly program with the media on Friday at the FAST headquarters in Tuanaimato.
"We have noticed on social media that other political parties are criticising the FAST party manifesto. Some of them include former politicians who were running under the FAST banner in the last election. We ask that if you are no longer part of this party, refrain from speaking ill of the FAST family's preparations," he said.
"If you have gone astray and decided to form your party, then do it. But please, let's live in harmony and maintain peace, but don't speak in vain about our manifesto, which we are all a part of at that time."
Laauli said if they pledged their allegiance elsewhere, they might as well spend their time preparing their manifesto for Samoa.
"The biggest disappointment is that those who are criticising these matters are the ones who had no input in establishing the party's manifesto. Our 2021 manifesto is etched in our hearts and souls," he said.
"Why? Because we haven't fulfilled everything we had planned due to the early dissolution of the Parliament. Whatever that is in here that we have achieved, praise God."
He further explained that some of the things they planned haven't been fulfilled because of the current state of the government. He also confirmed that all the promises made will be kept.
