Faatuatua ile Atua ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.) party has withdrawn a motion it filed in the Supreme Court to void the election victory of Human Rights Protection Party's winner for the Faasaleleaga No. 5 constituency, Peseta Vaifou Tevagaena.

Lawyer Mauga Precious Chang, acting for the F.A.S.T. party, filed the application to withdraw the motion before Justice Fepuleai Ameperosa Roma on Thursday afternoon.

She noted that her client received wrong information which led to the motion being filed in the Supreme Court earlier this week.

Justice Roma granted leave to withdraw the matter and ordered each of the parties to bear their own costs.

Peseta secured the leading votes to retain the Faasaleleaga No. 5 seat in the 2021 General Election.
