The Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.) political party will be visiting the families of the 83, mostly infant victims of the measles epidemic. 

This was revealed by the Chairman of the party in an interview with the Sunday Observer. 

"We already have a budget set aside for a special visit to all the families that were affected by the measles epidemic," La'auli said. 

"We also have received boxes of toys for all the kids and the families that were affected. 

"The Samoa and China Friendship Association have kindly donated boxes of masks and hand sanitizers. 

"We will distribute those to the 84 families. 

"That is one of our mission after our consultations with all the different villages and constituencies in the country to explain our policies and manifesto, but at the same time seek their opinions and collect their views on how to better our manifesto.

"Our hearts still aches when we think and talk about the families of our loved ones lost to the measles epidemic. We know and understand that nothing we do can bring them back to life. 

"However, we hope to somehow bring some happiness and light into their lives."

Since it's inception, the popularity and support for Samoa's newest political party has grown not only in Samoa but also our Samoan citizens living abroad. 

"The support and love of our people for our F.A.S.T. has been amazing and unreal. What we can say is, God is so good! 

"We are humbled by the love and the support shown by our people and we continue to pray for all of them who have donated and supported us right from the start of this journey."

When asked about how much that party has raised thus far, La'auli said: "So far I think we have (raised) about $250,000-$300,000 or more than that from our supporters, families, and friends from overseas.

"There still other fundraising activities conducted by our support groups overseas we have been overwhelmed, really. It's unreal and we are so grateful. 

"That is where we get the money from to fund all our activities and campaigns. 

"You know things such as billboards, banners, transportations, publications, and the money that we give out to the different villages we have consulted with. 

"The candidates also make their own contribution such as their registration fee among other things, but they are also doing their individual fundraising activities."
