Suspect in case of baby dumped at Mulifanua in Court

A young woman charged in relation to a newborn baby dumped at Mulifanua appeared in Court on Monday.

The 22-year-old, Afioae Sale, did not have a lawyer when she stood before Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke.

Prosecutor and Assistant Attorney General, Magele Leone Su’a, said the Police is yet to finalise charges against the young woman.

She sought a one week adjournment to finalise the charges.

Justice Leiataualesa instructed the defendant to seek a legal counsel.

Ms. Sale is on bail and will appear again on Monday next week for mention.

The new born baby girl found in Mulifanua last month was buried on October 6 at the Tafa'igata Cemetery.

She was laid to rest next to the 6-month old baby boy that was found at Lauli’i two months ago.

The baby girl was given the name Teviti Angel Aumaga while the baby boy was named Tautai Aumaga.

No one has been charged in relation to the baby boy found at Lauli’i.
