Sarah and Daniel tie the knot
“Love is patient, love is kind.
“It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
These words were a reminder to the newlywed couple, Daniel Jacob Falaniko Ah Kau and Sarah Louise Brown from Pastor Fa’afetai Fata of the Apia Harvest Centre Church at the Prayer House at Palisi at the weekend when they were joined together on a holy matrimony.
In front of families and friends the pair promised to cherish and love each other through thick and thin, for richer and poorer.
Pastor Fa’afetai also reminded the couple that marriage is not a contract but rather a covenant that they made for eternity in front of their families and especially God.
“A contract has a starting date and expiry date, but marriage is forever,” he said.
“My advice for you is the time of looking is over for the both of you because today is the day that you decide to join and spend the rest of your lives with each other.
“Marriage is all about mature love, and mature love means being tender.
“Mature love is being responsible, and knowing and accepting your differences.
“Mature love means you will have stormy days but you will always stay by each other’s side.
“It means being humble and willing to grow and it means putting God at the centre of your marriage.”
